my first application

thoughts about somethings i am currently learning.

so its been a few months that ive been working through my first rails project. during this course, ive rewritten the craigslist kind of site 3 times! each time, shaving off maybe 30% of the code. ive been told by a few people i work with to not worry about it and just get the application up and running. thank goodness i didnt listen. if i launched the project a few months ago, maintenance on it would of been craptastic! so my word of advice, learn the following and use them!

1. migrations 2. partials 3. routes

using those 3 things well, cut off 80% of my brute force code!
